Holding aid for Clamp style DMX connectors
thingiverse
These are tools to help with the new ETC Clamp style DMX connectors. Originally designed to work with the Hubble HXTP25 Premise Hand Termination Aid. It consists of a ring that goes on the index finger of your non dominate hand and a block that hold the female plug that goes into the Hubble HXTP25. I have rings of several sized 8-11. I have also included a version with a palm base and holding block together, if you do not have one of the Hubble ones. I use PETG for durability. 15% infill for the block and 60% infill for the ring. .15 or .2 for Resolution. Here is a link to a paper ring gage so you can determine what size you need. https://free-printable-paper.com/printable-ring-sizer/ Directions for use: 1) Slide the Clamp style connector holder block into the Hubble HXTP25 Premise Hand Termination Aid Note the Pin 1 triangle indicator on the connector holder block. 2) Place connector in the block with the orange tabs toward you. 3) Place The Clamp style ring tool on index finger of your non dominate hand with the tooth away from you. 4) Place your thumb on top of the Ring tool. 5) Take the Hubble block in your Dominate hand, line up the tooth in the ring to the tab to want to depress. 6) Depress the tab and the hold the Hubble block with your remaining 3 fingers of you non dominate hand. 7) Your Dominate hand is now free to insure the wire.
