Holders for iPhone and Samsung phone
thingiverse
We were experimenting with our brand-new DJI Spark drone. We possessed both an iPhone 6 and a Samsung Galaxy phone. We discovered a holder on Thingiverse, but it was too large for my ProFab mini (identical to MonoPrice Select Minin) printer, so I began modifying it. I removed the base, then created horizontal and vertical components to hold the phones. The vertical component fits into a box at the back of the base. It is slightly loose, so I wrapped one layer of duct tape around it, and it has just the right fit and friction. Our first iteration was for the iPhone. The two pieces are glued together, and the phone slots in by springing the horizontal bar back. The second device was designed for the Samsung; slide the phone between the top and bottom flanges of the vertical piece, then slide the horizontal bar down behind the phone to lock it in place. This entire project was completed on TinkerCad, and I have made the files public, so they will be easy to adjust for any other size device. I saved them all in one file here to make it simpler, but was then asked for separate files, so there are also now five files, one for each item.
