This holder was designed around an iPhone12 in a wallet case. The holder can be used without having to remove the phone from the case, it should slot in from above and be held in place with the wallet open, providing access to credit cards etc. Use a 3M adhesive pad or preferably a small bolt to secure the holder cup to your vehicle. The ball joint may be tight (requiring sanding) depending on the tolerances of your printer, but you want it to be fairly tight so the mount doesn’t flop around when the phone is in place. UPDATE: A new cup with pinch bolt is now available which can be used to clamp the ball in place once the desired position is achieved, or to tighten the ball to stop unwanted movement. This part can be printed without supports.
