Holder for hobbing in a lathe.
thingiverse
I built a jig for creating DIY extruder gears on a lathe, designed to be rigid thanks to its support fin. The design accommodates 19mm ball bearings and has a slightly oversized hole to simplify bearing insertion. At 10mm thick, it should fit snugly in most mini lathe tool posts. I manufactured a brass gear with this jig using 19x6mm bearings, a 6mm shaft, and pre-turned brass cylinder components. Print Settings Rafts Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Infill: Over 50% Notes Needs supports to be added around the gear's cutout section.
