Coin holder for coins stored in standard 2x2 cardboard/mylar "flips" that are stapled together. I just received a coin in a plastic 2x2 flip which fit perfectly as well, but the flaps tend to slide into different slots so watch the alignment if using plastic flips. I made individual slides to keep coins separated and avoid contact with staples. This also allows you to read any labeling that's printed in small letters at the top. The original version holds 40 coins, while the newer version, coin flip holder25, holds 25 coins. As of February 22, 2020, I added an 80 flip holder, which pushed my dimensions to their absolute maximum for both the x and y axes. I've also included two separate files with the base and lid for the 80 flip box for smaller printer beds. The new 40 and 25 holders are reliable. As of June 2, 2020, I added a 1.5x1.5 flip holder. However, I don't have any 1.5x1.5 flips to test with - so print this at your own risk. If I ever get some smaller flips or if anyone uses the new model and encounters fitment issues, please let me know. I've modified the slide walls to add more protection from flips coming out of place for smaller flips. This design works much better than the previous one but made them triangular to prevent them from touching coins on larger coins for a 2x2. I've tested this on my stuff including large dollar-sized coins. On the largest items, you might have trouble if the staple falls inside the slide path when using a regular stapler. A flat clinch stapler has no issues like this in my testing. This new design is better with plastic flips than the old one. Use this at your own risk - I'm not sure which types of plastics are safe for long-term coin storage. PVC can damage coins, and PLA releases gases as the lactic acid breaks down over time, although it appears to require sunlight to break down. I printed in PLA and will report back if I see any damage, but I don't expect anything. A bigger threat would probably be humidity. I've printed several more of these over the past few days using higher quality settings. With the higher quality prints, the flips slide easily into the slots, and the lids snap on tight.
