Holder for baby zebrafish
thingiverse
A miniature model of baby zebrafish and a specialized holder designed for immobilizing real fish during microscopic examination.\r\nThe zebrafish model is typically 5-7 days old and measures only 3-4 millimeters in length, making it remarkably small.\r\nTo ensure stability, the holder can be securely attached to the bottom of a dish using a strong adhesive.\r\nDue to its intricate design, this item poses significant challenges for traditional 3D printing methods. However, working prototypes were successfully created using a laser cutter with 3-millimeter acryl material and subsequent manual finishing with a sharp scalpel by Davis Bennett. If you manage to produce a 3D printed version of this model, kindly share your experience.\r\n\r\nA research paper detailing the use of this model is available at https://www.nature.com/articles/nmeth.3040
