Holder Expobar Brewtus IV for Tranquilo Coffee Grinder

The standard tray that my Tranquilo coffee grinder came with wouldn't really hold my Expobar Brewtus IV E61 filter insert, as the handle is angled downwards. Some coffee always ended up spilling over, so I ended up designing my own.

This is a straight replacement and fits the Tranquilo coffee grinder machines perfectly.

Print instructions

Category: Kitchen & Dining Print Settings

Printer: Prusa i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.15 mm

Infill: 20% Cubic

Filament: Prusa PLA Galaxy Black
Notes:

I recommend to choose "concentric" or "Archimedean Cords" settings for the fill pattern of the top and base layers, because that makes for much better appearance.

I printed with 5 outside contours, a bit overkill but it makes sanding and polishing more feasible, also results in the clamps being printed solid which is a plus.

Post-Printing

Dry sand with 240, then wet sand with 600, then 1200 grit if you want to. I printed in Prusa Galaxy Black, which is a kind of anthracite gray with some silver glitter thrown in, and it looks awesome without any post-processing.

How I Designed This

3D parametric modeling in SolidWorks 2017. Dimensions taken off the original tray holder. My reverse engineering skills are really being polished right now.
