Holder capacitive sensor 18mm (on Geeetech Prusa i3)
thingiverse
I traded in my capacitive sensor for a new one, identical to Prusa's model but with a larger 18mm diameter and an increased distance range of 8mm. The old sensor required it to be positioned precisely at the same height as the nozzle, which often led to objects being ripped off due to poor adhesion. I also prefer to perform bed leveling while heating up my printer, but filament blobs can cause collisions and miscalibration during this process. To resolve these issues, I purchased a new sensor with an impressive 8mm distance range. Its larger diameter of 18mm (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071FTP2ZP/) allowed me to design a custom holder that fits snugly into the unique corner of my Geeetech i3 print head. The design is versatile and can be easily adapted to accommodate different sensor sizes or other components you want to attach.
