hold down rocker clamp
thingiverse
I'm excited to share with you my second version of a hold down rocker style clamp designed specifically for use with the Snapmaker, perfect for clamping wood or other materials during laser etching or CNC carving projects. This time around, I've made some adjustments to ensure that it fits seamlessly onto the Snapmaker's laser etching bed which utilizes long 4mm screws. You'll also need a hold down pivot in order to complete this design. The great thing is that these parts can be easily printed using your 3D printer, following the exact dimensions shown in the accompanying pictures. For optimal results, I recommend placing supports strategically throughout the rockers to help maintain their structural integrity and prevent warping. However, please note that these supports may break away quite easily during the printing process. To further enhance your experience with this design, consider rotating the pivot by 90 degrees so that its flat surface lies flush against the bed of the Snapmaker. This minor adjustment should yield even better results for you. As for print time, each rocker takes approximately 32 minutes to complete when using a standard 3D printing setup.
