Hold Down Clamps
thingiverse
These clamps are designed specifically for hobbyist, consumer-level CNC machines used on T-track tables. They securely hold down cutting materials during a job with precision and ease. The hex head from the machine screw effortlessly slides through the tracks, allowing for smooth position adjustments. To effectively use the clamps, align them against the material and tighten screws and nuts in unison. It is crucial that the clamp is angled slightly, ensuring the back of the clamp is higher than the front which comes into contact with the material. To create one (1) clamp, you will need to gather the following hardware: - 1 x Threaded Insert, ¼”-20 x 13mm - 2 x Hex Head Machine Screw, ¼”-20 x 2 ½” Fully Threaded - 2 x Hex Nuts, ¼”-20 - 1 x Flat Washer, ¼" These clamps are crafted from robust 9mm thick plywood and were designed to be 100mm and 125mm in size. However, dimensions can be modified on Onshape according to your specific needs. The knobs that accompany the clamps are printed out of high-quality PLA.
