Hogwarts Bell Tower

Hogwarts Bell Tower

I'm using this at-home time to make significant progress on my Hogwarts build. I've been away for a while, but I'm now back in action. I'm currently working on the Bell Towers, and I've made some great headway. The bases have been crafted from plaster Linka pieces, which are the foundation that extends above the roof. However, these upper structures are too intricate and delicate to be made from Linka or plaster. To solve this challenge, I created Level 2 outlines, which I then glued onto the stone Linka pieces. This ensured a sturdy base for the more fragile elements. I used skirts to guarantee that the stone Linka pieces lie flat against the bed without warping. As my project progresses, I'll be uploading more photos for you to see. April 19th, 2020 I'm thrilled to announce that I've completed the top level of the Bell Towers and then took a well-deserved break before tackling the spired roof. The fit is perfect, with just enough wiggle room – it's been a real challenge! I'm extremely satisfied with how these have turned out, and I can hardly wait to put everything together and share my progress with you all. May 17th, 2020 I've added pieces of styrene clapboard to the spire's windows and applied the first layer of paint. Your contribution will help me cover the time I've invested in designing this build. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
