HOF Point
thingiverse
This is a track base for an HOF scale model railway point, it is designed to accept peco Z gauge rail glued in place STL files are provided for a left hand point, a right hand point can be obtained by mirroring the design using your slicer software. To make the point you will need to file down standard rail to fit in the point blade jig, with a small piece of brass strip filed down to fit in the frog and soldered in place (take care not to melt the jig). Another piece of brass strip should be used to join the blades together. The slider shoud br attached with a 16BA bolt. The frog is designed to move with the blades and pivot against the point of the rails. If you want to use the magnetic attraction of the HOF chassis to improve adhesion with this point, it should be laid on steel tape.
