Queensland Railways (QR) A Class 4 Wheeled Covered Goods Wagon, 15' Version as per QR Rolling Stock Handbook Plan/QR Drawing Nr. 598 For: 1:87, HO Narrow Gauge What it is: A low detail 4 wheel wagon (Not up to the quality of a modern ready to run wagon, this is a kit!) No buffers supplied, use HO Cast white metal or Wuiske Models WPD012 "EARLY FREIGHT BUFFERS" (Untested) 3 Versions: HOe, using Dundas Models 8mm wheels/15mm axle and 1mm top hat bearings (untested) HOe/HOm/HOn42 using Bemo 8.5mm wheels/18.5mm axle and 2mm top hat bearings HOm/HOn42 using Wuiske Models QRB080 7.6mm Wheel/20mm axle sets and 2mm top hat bearings (Untested, as I do not have any 20mm Axles) Additional Parts Needed: 4 x 2mm "Top Hat" Bearings - 00 Gauge Romford Pin-Point Brass Bearings, Shouldered Type DW22 (Got my last lot from https://dundasmodels.co.uk/) (1mm for HOe version) 2mm Drill to gently clean out the axle holes (1mm drill for HOe version) 0.5mm brass wire (optional, if you want to replace the printed grab iron on the doors) Couplers, set up for Kadee Nr. 58, with draft gear boxes Fill a Gap Super Glue Notes: This print has inside brace to help set up the walls square that go under the roof and on top of the chassis floor Sand all edges/glue contact surfaces before gluing Sand roof to help remove layering marks The short walls go on the inside The final product will depend on the quality of the printer and how well you have your settings under control Supplied as is, no support and no promises I recommend using a 0.3mm Nozzle for better detail and 0.1 or 0.08mm layering Recommend printing with a "Brim" to help keep smaller parts in place while printing Please leave a comment if you build one!
