A hobo fishing rod. This is the spool section that fits on a 1" PVC pipe. To assemble you put a 8" section of PVC pipe in the bottom of the spool, glue it in, and get a end cap for the PVC pipe. The mickey mouse shaped clamp is to keep your fishing line from unwinding when you are traveling. Sand the bottom 1" of the pvc pipe so the end cap can be removed to access storage in the handle. There are two designs for the spool. One has bigger shoulders at the ends, the other has slim tapers to allow easier casting. a small hole is present in the top of the spool to allow air in and break any vaccum caused by elevation changes. This allows the end cap to be removed easier. To cast you need to hold the line about 3-4' from the bait or lure. spin it a few times to build speed and throw. the reel should be pointing in the direction of cast to allow the line to feed off of the spool. The whole thing floats so it would be good for kids that might drop it in the water.
