I've owned a 2011 Hobie tandem island since I wanted a spare rudder pin to have on hand in case of an emergency. To ensure the replacement part is strong enough for lateral stress, it should be printed horizontally. As I only keep this part as a backup and haven't tested it in the water yet, I'm eager to see how well it performs. Disclaimer: Please note that this spare rudder pin is still experimental and not suitable for open ocean sailing or solo long-distance trips.
