HobbyKing Rattler ESC cold air intake
thingiverse
The Hobbyking Rattler makes an excellent buggy, yet it struggles with ESC overheating primarily due to insufficient airflow - coupled with the smaller size of the ESC within the vehicle. The radio box itself isn't completely airtight or waterproof, so I decided to install a cold air intake to circulate some much-needed airflow directly over the ESC. It's essential to print both parts solid; although the duct must be printed with supports, they will only take up a tiny amount of space. Next, simply attach the duct onto the brand-new radio box lid and you'll be ready to go. Keep in mind that the new lid may sit slightly higher than the original due to its reduced thickness, but this is primarily because it was printed slightly thinner than needed. Photos will be uploaded shortly for further reference.
