HobbyKing Mini Skywalker Parts: Landing Wheel

The HobbyKing Mini Skylwalker requires a belly-mounted landing wheel that fits perfectly. This wheel is suitable for 35-36mm wheels with a 2mm axle. The ideal length of the axle should be just under 20mm, and it can be made from either steel or carbon fiber rod. To prepare the model, simply cut a hole in the same shape as the wheel well through its belly. The wheel well and cover plate sandwich the wheel and foam together, eliminating the need for glue. Secure the well and cover using 2mm self-tapping screws - those that come with a 9g servo set will work perfectly.
