I'm running a custom setup with my RC car that includes a sound system, light system, and two-speed transmission. The "H" style controller is used for throttle control and shifting between first and second speeds on the left and right sides, respectively. Forward and backward motion is controlled by the standard throttle. The "Cross" style controller is dedicated to steering, activating the sound effects with an upward motion, and sounding the horn when pressed downward. The "Shift" type controller works similarly to the "H" style but is designed for use with three-speed transmission in my RC car. While not strictly necessary, this setup adds a nice touch of customization to my driving experience.
