Hobby Vice
grabcad
Here is a small hobby size vice. I use this vice to hold wire, small printed circuit boards, etc. while soldering. The vice has a 36mm jaw that opens to 38mm.My design is simple. It has three printed parts. Should a jaw get damaged, it's a simple matter to reprint that part, alone. I've reused a M10 bolt from another old vice.To adjust the vice jaw gap, instead of the original 6mm steel bar, I replaced the bar with a M6 bolt that holds the knob in-place. An M6 thread is inserted on the M10 bolt head hole.My print is made in PLA 1.75mm Aurarum Gold filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill on a Bambu X1 Carbon printer. Print supports required on two of the parts. See 3MF file for parts orientation. I used Wall Loops = 8, Infill Density of 30% Infill Pattern = Gyroid.I hope you can find this print useful, too.Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
