Hobby King Micro GPS NEO-6M Adapter Plate
thingiverse
I recently acquired the Micro HKPilot Mega Master Set and discovered that the OpenPilot Flight Controller Adapter Plates offer an excellent way to securely mount the controller. However, the NEO-6M GPS module provided with the set lacks mounting holes, forcing me to find a creative solution to prevent it from becoming dislodged amidst other components. After conducting further research, I stumbled upon the newly released ImmersionRC XuGong V2 Pro Secondary GPS Mount, which caught my attention. Using 123D Design, I skillfully merged the STL base from IdefixRC with the cover plate from Hovership and a simple square plate to fill in any gaps. Once I had finished editing the model, I exported it as an STL file and ran it through Microsoft's NetFabb Cloud Utility to refine the final design for 3D printing. The accompanying Thing files also include a duplicate of IdefixRC's GPS top for added convenience.
