This is a customized battery cradle for the Hobby King Q450 v3 quad frame made by Diatone, specifically designed to provide better security and larger space for the battery installation compared to the original bottom PCB. A key issue with the standard cradle design is that it makes securing the battery rather challenging due to the limited size of the opening. The present solution addresses this limitation by offering a spacious battery compartment, thus ensuring safer and more efficient flight operations. The new cradle design takes advantage of M2.5 12mm and 20mm screws for effortless assembly. One of the major benefits of this modification is that it enables mounting the battery at a lower position within the frame, significantly enhancing overall performance and reducing vibration. A dedicated component called SM450 LG has been created for this purpose. As intended by its designer, this piece is ideal for printing with flexible materials such as NinjaFlex to facilitate easy removal once worn out or damaged beyond use. This flexibility offers users several options when choosing the printing material for their cradle components.
