Hob mask, Metgumbnerbone
sketchfab
The 3D photogrammetry model of Alan English's eerie mask is a powerful tool that comes alive in conjunction with several other masks by the pioneering industrial experimental group Metgumbnerbone, who hail from northern England. This model was uploaded on February 1st, 2020 to coincide with the release of Metgumbnerbone's latest album "Anthropological Field Recordings for the Dispossessed", which features new clean versions of previous works and several previously unreleased tracks that showcase the group's signature sound. The background sound for hob features an extract from Metgumbnerbone's 1984 cassette version of "For the Raven". Photographs were taken in 2017, and many thanks are due to J.M. Mylotte, creative director of Metgumbnerbone, for granting permission to capture this spirit of folk horror and for allowing the use of an extract from "For the Raven".
