A customized dial to fit any rotary actuator with D-shaped shafts, featuring interchangeable parameters for utmost satisfaction. The adjustable features include size, interior clearance, plunging depth, shaft diameter, and pivotal angle, ensuring a precise fit. Apparently, custom cooker dials have become the ideal solution in 3D printing (according to expert23): and as I needed a few distinct-sized knobs for missing pieces in rental accommodation, a fully parametric design was essential! see also http://def-proc.co.uk/blog/a-fully-parametric-hob-knob/ Instructions Determine your installation site. You must know: the desired elevation of the dial from the surface, the external diameter of the dial, the internal clearance diameters of any seals that need to clear over and up, the shaft diameter and cross-sectional distance (printing clearance is added), the visible height of the shaft, any plunging depth in the center where the dial's central axis should descend below the front plate. You must also choose: the number of sides on the dial— I've opted for a low-poly style 9-sided design, but 250 sided will yield a nearly circular dial, the wall thickness of the dial—a 3mm thickness is quite sturdy for a 36mm dial, and the size of any chamfer on top.
