HO Train Coupler Lock

Hello fellow HO train modelers, I'm just starting out in the hobby with my son and we're beginning with some budget-friendly parts and cars. We've been experiencing issues with our knuckle couplers detaching, especially when my son isn't being as gentle as he should be. To solve this problem, I created a simple lock that fits around two attached knuckle couplers. To use it, first link the knuckles together, then slide the lock into place. I secured the clamping lock in position using a small rubber band, similar to what my kids use with their band looms. This setup provides a nice snap and keeps everything in place.
