HO Scale Hand Pump Car
cults3d
This is a Hand Pump Car in HO Scale, designed for the Diorama shown in the pictures as a fun project but it could also make a great display piece for a HO Scale Train set. This tiny model requires a highly tuned printer to print successfully; I recommend using a .25 nozzle to achieve the best results. Most parts were painted with Yellow PLA, while the Wheels were painted Silver and the Deck was colored brown to simulate wood. A layer of black paint was applied to distress all the components before assembly. To assemble this model, start by gluing both Pump Arms to the Platform. Next, attach the Gear to one side of the Platform, positioning it in the space between the Pump Arms. Make sure the gear is centered and sits just below where the Deck will be but sticks up slightly. Then, glue the Deck to the Platform, fitting it over the arms. Once the Deck is in place, glue the Pump Arms Skirt to the Deck, covering the arms. Next, attach the Pump Handle between the Pump Arms. Finally, glue the Wheels to the Platform, using a small paper clip as an axle if desired. The Brakes can also be attached to the Platform at this time. The Handles on the Pump Handle were created by extruding straight lines from a .25 nozzle and cutting them to size before gluing them in place. Tweezers are helpful for this task.
