HO Scale Grain (or whatever) Processing Facility
thingiverse
This is a HO scale processing facility, with attached distribution warehouse that serves as an ideal setup for processing grain or any other type of product. The warehouse building features a railside loading dock with 2 roller doors and a truck loading dock with 3 roller doors, complete with truck bumpers on the dock. The headhouse atop the silos is one piece and printed as a single unit. A raised floor has been included for the warehouse to bring the interior floor level to that of the loading docks. However, if you assemble it with all the roller doors in the closed position, this floor is not necessary. This building contains an impressive number of parts (86+), making it a large and complex model that will take several days to print out. The design ensures that all the pieces fit on a 200 x 200 print bed, allowing for easy assembly and minimizing waste. The original model built from cardboard was even larger in scale :). Special care is required when printing certain parts, so be sure to read the printing instructions carefully. Locos, track, and other accessories shown in concept design.jpg are not included with this model :). The walls have been designed with 45-degree angled edges that fit seamlessly together. However, if you prefer a more polished finish, you can glue some L styrene onto the corners to hide any visible joins. Please note the attribution license - NON commercial use only, please.
