HO Model Train DIY Power Chassis with Custom Bogies
thingiverse
This HO scale train power chassis can be modified to fit a variety of model train projects based on my simple DIY power bogie: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4183383 The original bogie was redesigned to enable articulation and offer the option of a non-powered variant while retaining the same parts and assembly process. Links to all necessary parts for the power bogie can be found on the original DIY power bogie link above. Additional Parts Needed for Assembly - 4x 1.5mm x 8mm Hex bolts - 2x 3mm bolts and nuts - approximately 10mm long - Plastic or metal wheels with a 2mm axle diameter - note: ensure the wheel diameter is the same on both bogies (I used Powerline P1108A plastic wheels, but there was a 2mm difference, which required spacers between the bogie and chassis to ensure it was level) Example Bogie trims can be located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4548565 Example Diesel locomotive can be located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4548571 Updates: 30 Aug 20 - Added .obj files for parts
