The HMS Thunder Child model from H. G. Wells' The War of The Worlds is designed in OpenSCAD for Chapter 6 of Practical 3D Printers (www.apress.com/9781430243922). Inspired by MakerBlock's Pirate Ship and Windham Graves War of the Worlds playset, it can be printed as a single piece (steamship.stl) or in two parts for colorful lower hull or movable turrets using lowerdeck and upperdeck stl files. Assemble with filament and create gun barrels from the same material.
