The Amethyst is a basic, low-poly Black swan-class sloop famous for the Yangtze incident and Simon the capable seafaring cat on board. HMS Amethyst was a modified Black Swan-class sloop in the Royal Navy's fleet. It was built at Alexander Stephen and Sons of Linthouse, Govan Scotland on 25 March 1942, launched into the water on 7 May 1943 and officially started its naval service on 2 November 1943 with the pennant number U16. After World War II it was modified to be a frigate, and got a new designation F116. This digital model took approximately two to three hours to complete, yet I still faced difficulties searching for accurate plans of the ship's blueprint and its superstructure design.
