HM800 Customizable Front Plate
thingiverse
This is a fully customizable front plate designed specifically for the blank HM800 module, perfect for use in the Hameg modular system series 8000. A standard HM800 blank module comes with a plastic front plate, but creating custom openings for display- or control-elements can be a tedious and messy process. To make this task easier, I created a printable front plate that can be customized using FreeCAD software. Cutting out rectangular openings or round holes in the digital domain is significantly simpler and less messy compared to doing it manually. This design differs from the standard front plate by incorporating reinforced connecting structures, making them more stable in the printed part. The handle is also included as a separate file for added convenience. The source files for FreeCAD are provided, along with an example project showcasing a 2.8" TFT display shield with a mounted Arduino board.
