The Figure of Saint Florian in Harmannsdorf stands as a testament to the artistry of Friedrich Sattler. Crafted in 1989, this statue was privately financed, showcasing the power of individual initiative. According to the municipal website of Harmannsdorf, the story behind this monument is one of tragic circumstances. At the time of its unveiling on a Sunday, it became apparent that the sculptor had not completed his work. A compromise was reached with Sattler to finish the outstanding pieces by Wednesday, but he failed to appear. It wasn't until days later that news of the sculptor's fate came to light: he had been shot by his own helper and secretly buried in a forest clearing.
