HL 3818 Tiger 1 late style steel roadwheels
thingiverse
First off, apologies for the terribly aligned stickers on my tank, but its an old used tank I got super cheap to have as a test drive.\r\n\r\nThis is Tiger 1 late style steel roadwheels, designed to fit perfectly with the original HL roadwheels. One acts as a protective cover and the other replaces the outer roadwheel entirely. Will also fit the 3819 pantiger without any issues. \r\n\r\nAlthough I think the tiger looks way more intimidating with the original HL roadwheel style, these are what all tigers eventually ended up with in the field. Although much more common in wartime pictures and videos, the early roadwheels were plagued by reliability problems as they were a test set of wheels made for a lighter prototype tank. The Tiger 2/King Tiger rolled out with this new style of roadwheel right from the start.\r\n\r\nModeled after the first version of the new road wheels as detailed on tiger1.info, along with various images found online. There was a second version of this new roadwheel with minor changes to bolt pattern, but I chose the first one as it was the most widely used of the two.\r\n\r\nThe pictured wheels are PLA printed with a 0.8 nozzle, 30% infill and adaptive layers between .25 and .12. I scale it up 1% in the slicer for a perfect fit on mine.
