The Kinetic Penetrator, or KP, is a revolutionary weapon built around cutting-edge Hyperdrive technology from the Star Wars universe. It unleashes a low-end Hyperdrive to propel a high-speed torpedo past lightspeed, hurtling directly towards its target with devastating force. There's no defense against this missile, except destroying it before activation or employing an Interdictor to disrupt its trajectory. Deployed like any standard torpedo, the KP aims for a pre-designated enemy upon launch and uses conventional propulsion to clear the launch-platform, then activates the Hyperdrive, eradicating everything in its path. For surface deployment, the KP can be equipped with a solid-fuel rocket booster. If the KP misses its mark, it will continue on course for a brief duration before deactivating its Hyperdrive regulators, causing the torpedo to safely disintegrate and preventing collateral damage.
