hk450 landing skid
thingiverse
I've begun flying my HK 450 without any prior knowledge and after crashing, I decided to design my own landing skid. Originally, the standard skids were just 1 cm taller to prevent contact with the tail blade during touchdowns, which made takeoff and landing a breeze. By replacing them with printed skids, recovery from future crashes is simpler - they're also much easier to manufacture, as they don't break or become misshapen when impacted. Additionally, I recommend purchasing 6mm aluminum pipe for replacements rather than entire new landing skids from Hobby King. This option allows you to repair damaged parts and buy only the affected pieces, reducing overall expenses.
