A custom-built servo extension, specifically designed for use in 3D aircraft models that demand more extensive control surface movement. This upgrade enables precise control and stability by providing longer servo arms, resulting in improved flight performance. The initial prototype was plagued with issues due to inadequate dimensioning, causing it to break under load. A critical failure occurred during a landing when one arm cracked and began slipping on the servo shaft, prompting a redesign. The revised V2 version boasts significant improvements, featuring a 1.5mm thicker arm mount for added strength and stability. To maximize material utilization and ensure structural integrity, it is essential to slice the model with concentric 100% infill around the servo arm. To facilitate this process, a Prusa Slicer 3mf file has been uploaded, showcasing the slicer settings used during the design phase.
