This device is designed for Heckler & Koch VP9 magazines, converting them to hold 10 rounds instead of 15, making them compliant with New Jersey and other US states' laws restricting semi-automatic pistol magazines to 10 rounds. Installation should be straightforward; it's intended as a drop-in solution. Simply remove the base plate from the magazine, insert this device into the bottom, and reinstall the base plate. However, you'll need to modify the lower spring retainer by cutting notches in its plastic to allow it to move past the grooves on the sides of the magazine. The device will take up enough space to prevent 5 rounds from being loaded.
