I made this to add illumination for my HobbyKing SK450 DeadCat quadcopter. I utilized an LED strip that was available, specifically a 1 meter length of the Turnigy High Density RC Flexible Strip Red available from hobbyking.com. This thing is relatively low-profile but it functions amazingly well!
