To be printed in "vase mode" (*spiralized* outer contour mode in CURA). !!\r\n\r\n**UPDATE**\r\n- [2020/03/15] Added a new version with different slot sizes.\r\n\r\nThis is a cool thing that came up while experimenting on fast and robust prints using vase mode (spiralized outer contour in Cura). Basically, it's a hive-shaped container (37 elements) that needs to be printed in vase mode.\r\n\r\nIt uses some design tricks for the base sketch to achieve robustness, short printing time, and low filament usage:\r\n- Every single circular element is perfectly tangent to each neighboring circle at one point.\r\n- Each element connects with only one adjacent element through a small area added between circles.\r\n- The connections between base circles result in an extruded and spiralized print as "cuts".\r\n- This trick allows the entire structure to be printed in vase mode.\r\n- I used a concentric three-like pattern for the "cuts" to achieve robustness after trying other patterns (spiral, snowflake, parallel scan, and arrowscan). Please share if you're interested. Examples images are attached.\r\n- The goal was to melt all connection points between circles as a secondary effect due to their proximity.\r\n\r\nIncrease the bottom shell width and extrusion width for added robustness.\r\n\r\nRobustness with speed is achieved!\r\n\r\nIt's perfect for pens, but also for Nerf darts.
