Hito Catastral/ An inscription of Constantine II
sketchfab
Ancient Roman inscription from Aldeanueva de Campo Mojado, Guijuelo, Salamanca province, carved on a slightly irregular quadrangular granite slab. Father César Morán initially read it in 1946 and published his findings in his historical-artistic review of the Salamanca province. Over time, various interpretations have emerged, including identification as either a milestone or a honorary column. More recently, scholars have suggested its use as a boundary marker related to fiscal reforms implemented during the Late Empire period.
