This is a state-of-the-art, heavy-duty 2" receiver hitch backup system. When the vehicle is placed in reverse gear, nine high-intensity white LEDs illuminate brightly. This setup can also be used as an alternate brake light system with red LEDs. The print consists of three pieces, along with hardware and electronic components. If you are installing a reverse lighting system, it's essential to hire a professional electrician to do the wiring, as there needs to be a dedicated pair of wires running inside the vehicle for the reverse lights (unless your vehicle has a 6 or 7-pin harness). Additionally, you must have a disconnect between this design and the vehicle. If using this system as a brake light system, you can utilize your 4-pin towing harness. To assemble the hitch backup system, you will need to print two hitch arms and one base plate. Required Parts: * A 3-piece printed component * Four 3mm nutserts (alternatively, you can use ABS and acetone to fuse the pieces together) * Nine LEDs with 220-ohm resistors for a 12-volt system (use this calculator to determine the proper resistor value: http://led.linear1.org/1led.wiz) * Wires and disconnects as needed The nine white LEDs used in this setup are sold in packs of 50 and can be found along with resistors at https://www.amazon.com/50pcs-Ultra-Bright-Diodes-Light-White/dp/B01MYYUS2R/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1513792429&sr=8-5&keywords=led+diode+5mm+with+resistor. This system was printed with PETG.
