Hey hey what's up gamers. This is my second take on the legendary Hitbox♥™ and it comes with a twist. I added two extra slots for additional direction buttons, making cheating even more apparent and easier than ever. - - - DISCLAIMER: WORK IN PROGRESS - - - I don't trust the top part to be made from a 3D printer, so I'm going to use wood or aluminum instead. I'll update the photos section once I can show it off! I tested the button layout thoroughly and designed a special layout that feels most comfortable for me personally. It's kind of a classical Taito Vewlix Shoryuken layout, but with far-right buttons placed differently. It might look weird at first glance, but I had great results with this design. - Left hand is movement, just like you know it from the original Hitbox, with a few small adjustments. - Make sure to print out the PDF file of the button layout and check it out yourself. To test the button layout, I put in a PDF in the files named "Stoner's Button Layout for the Cheatbox." - Print this PDF out and place it on a book or something that's about 4-5 cm high, and emulate it in your mind. - The button layout fits perfectly on a DIN A4 paper (for non-German people, it's 210 x 297 mm or 8.2 x 11.6 inches). -------------- Moving on, Right hand is for L1, L2, A, B, X, Y, R1, and R2 buttons. I put the R1 and R2 buttons in a different position because I often have trouble pushing them in clutch situations. On the original Taito Vewlix button layout, I don't like where the R1 and R2 buttons lie, so I put them up. --------- Bottom Part: - The main connection to your game console or PC will go through a "Neutrik NAUSB-W" USB-A to USB-B connector. Some friendly people from the "TEKKEN Zaibatsu Discord Server" brought to my attention that my previously designed Hitbox had a huge flaw. When someone pulled on the cable, the whole thing would fall apart and you'd be in deep trouble! So yeah, no chance of that happening now! - You'll need to buy an "Neutrik NAUSB-W" from Amazon for about 5 bucks or so, and trust me, it's well worth the investment. - Also, you'll need to buy a USB-A to USB-B cable. Don't get one longer than 3 meters because they lose data transmission speed when they get too long. For USB 2.0 and 3.0, stick with 3-meter or shorter cables. For USB 3.1, make sure it's under 1 meter! --------- Next to the Neutrik NAUSB-W slot, I added additional 24mm holes that you can use for L3, L3, Turbo, Game Mode, switching between X and Direct-input buttons, or whatever. In case you need further customization, I put in the Fusion360 original file where I designed this whole thing. Fusion360 is a free 2D designing program for hobbyists! --------- On your left-hand side, you have two more buttons. My intention was to use these two for Start and Select. --------- The bottom and top part of my Hitbox has 30mm deep, 5mm wide in diameter holes that you can use to make M6 screw slots. You'll need to use a M6 thread cutter with the 5mm hole, and you're good to go! ----------------------------------------------------------- This is all I have to say for now. If you have any requests or questions regarding arcade sticks, Hitbox, etc., please use the comments section of this thingy. Thanks for reading!
