This replica of the original hose adaptor & handle of the Hitashi CV-9800YJ Vacuum Cleaner closely mimics the design except for one notable difference: it lacks a relief valve that typically resides in the handle itself. Crafted with 3D printing in mind, the design features a streamlined process for ease of printing and minimal supports. The two pieces can be easily assembled by applying some glue and then sliding the handle into the adaptor. However, V2 boasts an innovative feature: it can be assembled without adding any glue, and the two components simply snap into place. Update 7/17/2018 I've successfully printed V2, and I'm thrilled to confirm that it works flawlessly! While a bit of force is required to connect the pieces together, once attached, they form an incredibly secure bond that's virtually impossible to break without damaging the parts. V2 also boasts a slightly tighter tube diameter, resulting in a snugger fit for the vacuum tube. V1 still maintains excellent tightness and feel, but by retaining both V1 and V2 files, you can choose the version that suits your preferences better. Update 7/12/2018 I've uploaded V2, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet, so if you're eager to print now, do so at your own risk. V2 features a snap-fit mechanism between the handle and hose adaptor, eliminating the need for glue. However, since I'm still awaiting results from my upcoming print, I recommend using V1 for the time being, especially considering the competition's deadline is looming.
