Hitachi DCG-306 Carburetor gasket Datsun 120Y (B210) etc.
thingiverse
To replace my worn-out Datsun 120Y (B210) float chamber gasket, I created a new one using advanced techniques. By scanning the carb on a regular photo scanner and drawing its path in Inkscape, then refining it with the free version of Solid Edge and laser cutting, I obtained a customized and thick gasket to account for carb misalignment. However, the dark residue along the edges was burnt material from the cutting process, which should be removed to prevent clogging of nozzles and jets. After installation, the gasket functioned well, but I discovered a faulty secondary emulsion tube causing the secondary body to protrude. To accommodate this issue, I had to slightly modify the gasket. This design has also proven successful on another carb without the fault. Don't forget to protect your scanner glass with a plastic sheet during the process, and remember to scrape off the burnt material from the gasket edge. In the future, I may explore making printable carbs as well.
