You'll need this if your OEM battery cover is lost or if you've purchased aftermarket replacement batteries for your Hitachi hand tools. The cover slides securely onto the BSL1815X battery terminals and safeguards them from unintended discharge or debris accumulation in the connection terminals. I used PETG to achieve flexibility and non-fracturable strength in the 0.8mm thick blades that fit between the battery's blade connectors, holding the cover firmly in place. PLA's brittleness makes it a poor choice for a thin extrusion prone to snapping off with repeated insertions or removals into the battery connectors. I printed the STL vertically on its base, allowing it to print with only one supporting structure that was easily removable.
