The Historical Marker Template is designed to honor significant places or events in history. A sample Historical Marker commemorates RepRap's founding. Collaborating with Thingiverse users, we can create a collection of markers highlighting key milestones in 3D printing history. These markers could enhance demonstrations and educational events by providing additional information while showcasing 3D printing as an integral part of making history. Feel free to share your ideas for other historical markers or create and share your own designs. This template was initially developed for a Social Science lesson plan (http://designmaketeach.com/2013/04/30/project-idea-design-a-historical-marker/) but has since been updated with an Inkscape SVG file and PDF templates for ease of use.
