HIPS/PVA dissolvable material pivot test
pinshape
Summary This is a test to see how your printer handles narrow gaps when printing dissolvable materials in pairs. Print out the pieces, dissolve them, and check if the middle piece can move freely. To try this, download the pivot_test_04.stl file for a 0.4mm gap or pivot_test_05.stl for a 0.5 or 0.6mm gap. If these options don't work for you, you can just download the scad file and change the "gap" value to whatever size you need. The "gap" variable controls not only the space between the pivot and hole but also the vertical distance between three square parts. This picture is an early version of this test, with a 0.4mm gap, and my Replicator dual printer with a 0.4mm nozzle handled it well.
