Hippodamia is a legendary figure from ancient mythology, daughter of King Oenomaus who ruled over Pisa with great power and prestige. Her mother is identified in some accounts as Evarete of Argos, born to the noble parents Acrisius and Eurydice, while others claim her mother was Eurythoe, a princess from Danaus' lineage. Hippodamia marries Pelops, producing an impressive array of offspring including six daughters - Astydameia, Nicippe, Lysidice, Mytilene, Eurydice, and several sons like Atreus, Thyestes, Pittheus, Alcathous, Troezen, Hippalcimus, Copreus, Dias, and Hippasus. Additionally, she is said to have fathered other notable sons such as Aelius, Cleonymus, Sciron, Argeius, Corinthius, Dysponteus, and Pleisthenes.
