Meet Fido: Your cheerful mobile phone wall mount/dock. A simple elastic band keeps the cord from falling down behind your desk and instantly tangling with all the other cords that hide under there. Of course, if your goal is to breed a new kind of super cord, Fido might not be for you. The included CAD-file is kind of improvised and rough, but I uploaded it anyway, as it's a good start for making your own design. (Think about all the things you could make! Squirrel mount. Starlight mount. Samsung mount. Really sleek circular mount. Wow!) Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Select Mini V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 25 Notes: 1.5 mm (x4) walls for extra strength. Makes a lot more difference than infill %. Post-Printing Attach an elastic band to the sides, over or under the bottom. Twist it a couple of times and put the cord in. Mount on wall. Ta-da! How I Designed This Buddy likes fun stuff, I dislike buddy charging phone next to head in bed, or not charging it at all because cord mysteriously disappeared. Needed something that would not scare buddy in the middle of the night, work with multiple phone models and hold different sized cords in place, while still making for easy access and changing. The first model had gorgeous, screwhole eyes and in an instant we all knew Fido was in there. Underneath all that plastic. Just waiting to come out.
