Ancient Megalithic Collective Sepulchre from 2,500 BC was discovered in the 1980s and archaeological interventions took place in the early 1990s. The excavation project concluded in September of 1994. Cracked slabs that formed the roof had broken apart, and upon lifting them, a large quantity of human skeletons across all age groups appeared. Notably, four human bodies were found wounded by arrow points. Archaeologists also discovered flint knives and foliate-tipped arrows. Researchers have analyzed the local landscape based on pollen grains collected from sediment in the Longar area.
