Hip Shot Sight
thingiverse
I'm obsessed with playing first-person shooter games like Call of Duty or Wolfenstein. Unfortunately, my aim is severely lacking. A few years ago, I saw a device called a Hip Shot Dot that used an LED to help improve accuracy by attaching it to the screen. Instead of using an LED, I created a custom sight and suspended it with a thin thread right in the middle of my monitor. This modification has slightly improved my aim. It won't turn me into a gaming pro overnight, but it might just give me an edge. I printed the sight with support material and carefully removed it from the print bed using a craft knife. I then threaded a small wire through the tiny hole at the top of the sight to create a loop. Next, I tied a thread to the loop and stuck the other end to the top of my monitor using Blue Tack, allowing me to fine-tune its position. My print is slightly warped, but it doesn't bother me too much. Happy gaming!
